The Social Justice Council’s Mission is:


To coordinate, support and inspire the congregation’s efforts to advocate, educate, organize, serve and witness for social action and to establish the UUAA as a leader for social justice.

Social Justice Projects

The Social Justice Council’s work is inspired by the following UUAA Core Values statements.

Social Justice and Environmental Action
     We live our beliefs by creating, sustaining, and enhancing programs that actively engage congregants of all ages in projects that promote peace, justice, and positive environmental action locally and beyond.

  •  This congregation acts in concrete and substantial ways to promote social and economic justice in the larger community.
  •  This congregation acts in concrete and substantial ways to protect the natural environment.
  •  This congregation participates in programs that promote peace and understanding in the world.

The members of the Social Justice Council are: Sally Preston (chair), Connie McGuire, David Kohn, Mary Ann Hergenrother, Susie Thompson, Jeannie LaPrad and Carol Acitelli (Facebook Coordinator).

Our meetings are scheduled the 2nd Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. Please check with one of the members if you would like to come to one of our meetings.
