2022 UUAA Habitat for Humanity Project

UUAA is part of an interfaith group of 13 area congregations, the "Good News Group" that has been working together since 1997 in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley. We have helped 36 families (with over 66 children!) move into affordable, very energy efficient housing, primarily in Ypsilanti neighborhoods. We help families, neighborhoods and the environment-- and we laugh and have fun doing it.  Click on this link to view a map of the homes we have built and renovated in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area.

Our Projects in 2021

bugonflower Appleridge Spring Clean-up Day 2021

On Saturday, April 24th,  2021, 14 UUAA volunteers joined homeowners in the Appleridge neighborhood in Ypsilanti to help with gardens, gutters, fences and general cleanup. The Appleridge neighborhood has several homes renovated recently by Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley, but these projects worked with longtime homeowners who needed a bit of help to make improvements. Use this link to learn about HHHV's Home Improvement programs.
